I allow up to two appointment reschedules before you have to pay another deposit or pay the full session amount in advance, this is to protect me from wage loss, so please-be sure you can attend your appointment.

Please let me know if you can’t attend your appointment even if it’s last minute,,  I will be understanding but you will lose the booking fee.

Photographic ID  & age

You must bring a piece of valid photographic ID to your appointment it must be a passport or driving licence, without this I will have to refuse to tattoo you, as its needed to prove your legal age and address for insurance purposes.  Over 18’s only. You will lose your deposit if you don’t bring ID.

Rescheduling appointments

To reschedule any appointments for any reason please give me at least  3 working days notice otherwise you will lose your booking fee and another will need to be paid before I can re-book you.

If you’re unwell please reschedule your appointment, this reduces your ability to sit through the tattoo, your health and healing is further compromised and you also risk my health and other customers in the studio bringing in any sickness, please give me at least  3 working days notice where possible.

Mine and your health is of the upmost importance to me, and I’m not willing to compromise either.

Please note you cannot be tattooed by me if your pregnant or breastfeeding.

No shows - I would much rather you let me know you can’t attend a tattoo session than not turning up and ignoring any messages or phone calls. I won’t be angry and prefer to know you’re ok.

Tattoo Costs, Session lengths and  expectations

At the time of booking the cost and estimated initial session length is agreed upon, the full payment of which is expected at the start or end of that session.

Large scale multiple session work such as sleeves and back pieces can take many sessions to complete - so an exact quote is impossible to provide.

Payment on the day should be paid fully in cash wherever possible.

A day session is  6 hours of active work, including any design changes, stencilling,  tattooing and photographs. Starting usually at 9.30am and being finished by 4/5pm approximately, this gives extra time to allow for a lunch break - toilet, stretching and refreshment breaks throughout the day without impacting on your tattoo time.

Day sessions are a really generous and cost effective way to work as otherwise my hourly rate is charged as soon as your appointment begins until we finish and pay for the session, this set cost helps you to budget for the tattoo.

Sessions that go beyond 5pm will be charged at my hourly rate of £80 per hour, but usually I can’t accommodate this as I have to pick up my daughter from nursery, so please be prepared to pay this or return for another session if your tattoo isn’t completed. Please note the studio closes at 5pm and after hours work isn’t always possible.

I always put my heart and soul into your tattoo, and always do my very best to complete a tattoo in a session where possible, however large scale work or very detailed work often can take multiple sessions, please be realistic if I say your tattoo will take multiple sessions.

If you push to complete large scale work within unrealistic time scales it makes for an unreasonable and unhappy artist relationship, as I always complete as much as is possible in a sessions.

Design changes especially with larger sizes and new placements can drastically affect my ability to complete a tattoo in the session,  different areas of the body can be more difficult to tattoo please be mindful and respectful of this. If I don’t think it will be completed in the session I’m just being realistic.

Sitting for sessions

Please be considerate and mindful that you are likely to be in a position that may be a little bit uncomfortable, this is to allow me access to the area being tattooed. I try my best to make you comfortable but it’s not always possible. But I will always say your welcome to take multiple breaks to stretch, have drinks and food etc

Your welcome to bring a pillow, blanket, iPad, book, headphones , drinks, food and snacks, whatever makes you the most comfortable. Your are under no obligation to chat or talk to me or other artists when getting tattooed, please do whatever makes you happy. If you prefer a quiet session just let me know.

If you book a day session and cannot sit in the required position I cannot tattoo effectively - this is because I’m disabled it’s nothing personal. So in this case I reserve the right to terminate the session and rebook for another time.. I always offer multiple breaks throughout the day to help with comfort, but I cannot contort my body and tattoo in odd positions if you are being uncooperative with positioning.

Please be aware that staying reasonably still is a requirement for your tattoo otherwise I cannot perform an accurate tattooing procedure, in the kindest possible way please do not book a tattoo with me if you think this could be an issue.

Client behaviour during our tattoo session

When you book your session you agree to having the tattoo completed to our initial booking agreement  or subsequent discussions. So if you need to stop the tattoo, tap out, leave for any circumstances you are expected to pay for the time used at my hourly rate and pay another deposit for any further sessions to complete your tattoo.

If you think you need to break up your tattoo sessions, even to multiple sessions to be more manageable that’s not a problem, but it needs to be arranged in advance otherwise you will be charged in full on the day.

I offer half day sessions as a way to break up sessions - great for getting line work done in one session and colour/ shading in future sessions.

I reserve the right to terminate any tattooing session if I feel intimated, threatened or uncomfortable with your behaviour. This includes being loud, rude, shouting, swearing, not being respectful of staff and clients, not listening to sensible advice on your tattoo, touching your tattoo/stencil/equipment, jerking, kicking, squirming a lot during the process,  as all clients and staff deserve a relaxed, happy, calming, quiet, safe environment to tattoo in.

I reserve the right to terminate any tattooing session if you cannot stay reasonably still and reasonably calm and quiet for your session, as this isn’t safe and endangers us both and takes a physical and mental toll on me. You will also have a bad tattoo, as I can’t tattoo effectively with lots of flinching, jerking and moving.

Numbing Creams

Numbing creams can be used for tattoos where needed - please get in touch with me about their use before the session so I can advice you on the best practice for their use, as you need to do a patch test in advance as allergies and chemical burns are very common with the creams. You need to apply effectively them effectively for the session otherwise it will not work. . I take no liability for use of numbing creams,

Tattoo placements

Please note due to my own medical conditions/disability I may decline certain types of tattoos and placements, such as feet, necks, ribs, chest, sternums. Please don’t be offended, I can refer you to another suitable artist.

If you change your tattoo placement after the initial booking is approved, I reserve the right to refuse - based on the above information.  Where possible please inform me in advance of the appointment if you would like to change your tattoo placement so we can discuss. I always accommodate where possible,

Health Conditions & Medications

All health conditions and medications need to be declared fully, I reserve the right to refuse to tattoo you based on health or serious mental health concerns either prior to tattooing or during the tattooing process. This is for your own safety not to discriminate.

I reserve the right to terminate the tattooing process at any point if I believe the health of your skin or area of skin in particular  is unable to withstand being tattooed. This includes sunburn, cuts, infection, eczema, psoriasis, spots, ulcers, sores, lesions, scars, burns, moles, varicose veins, birthmarks, rashes, unidentified markings, excessive bruising etc

In most instances we would be able to potentially move the tattoo to a different location or in advance an appointment can be rescheduled to allow for recovery from things like a rash, auto immune flare, spot outbreak, a cut or sunburn.

Please notify me of any issues with your skin prior to your appointment so we can talk about any issues, I won’t go ahead with tattooing if I have any concerns.

Please do not consume alcohol 24 hours before being tattooed by me. I reserve the right to refuse service based on concerns of alcohol intoxication.

If you suffer from serious ill health of any form you may need to provide a doctors note to confirm you can safely be tattooed  and be able to safely heal your tattoo. Particularly when taking medications - especially blood thinners, and having a compromised immune systems eg diabetic, cancer treatments.

Time management, travel and friends

Allow plenty of time for your tattoo, if your on a tight schedule please just arrange another day to be tattooed. I cannot guarantee finish times at all. A rushed tattoo is always a bad idea.

If you are more than 30 minutes late for your session it is classed as a no show and you will lose your deposit, please phone the studio if you are running late for your appointment and I can try to arrange my day to accommodate you. However I have a baby to collect from  nursery at the end of the day and have a firm finish time.

If you are running late for a small tattoo it’s very likely I won’t be able to fit you in and you will lose your deposit as I run on a tight schedule.

If you don’t turn up for your appointment your deposit is forfeited, and if you want to book again you will need to make full payment for your tattoo in advance before  I can rebook you.  Rebooking is up to my discretion I may turn away clients who try to continually cancel/ rebook or no show.

Wherever possible I prefer if you can come alone for your appointment, we’re super lovely in the studio and will look after you and there isn’t lots of room in the tattoo spaces for extra guests. However if you need a friend or person to come with you I can’t always guarantee they can sit in the same room your tattooed in (most days we have space) but we have a lovely  art  gallery downstairs in the studio in which there’s plenty of space for them to wait, or local shops they can go browse. Wherever possible if you do bring a friend I will do my best to accommodate them.

Carers are always accommodated.

Please if you are travelling and having a friend or partner/family member drive you - be aware I cannot rush your tattoo to fit in with them or their needs, and I can’t tell you a specific time for finishing the tattoo, as there are a lot of variables that may affect the finishing time.  For day sessions we will usually be done by 5pm latest.

Accessibility

I have access to an accessible downstairs tattooing space with a downstairs toilet, please let me know if you would like to be tattooed in this space in advance so I can make sure I have booked the correct studio space. If you need any further access information please let me know and I will do my best to help as we are in the process of developing our access for people with a variety of needs.

Carers are always more than welcome - please let me know in advance if you would like to bring one so I can set up to provide them somewhere to sit comfortably, or can advise on how they may best support you in the tattooing situation.

Design Changes

Be sure on your design idea when booking, if you change your idea repeatedly I reserve the right to charge a £50 design change fee for this, this is to cover wasted drawing time.

Changes to your tattoo design can affect the pricing of the tattoo including changing the size on the day of appointment. Please bare this in mind - size changes aren’t free and will be charged accordingly as the tattoo may take much longer.

Large changes to your tattoo design is likely to result in your appointment being rescheduled and price changes, so please be very clear on sizing and placement for your tattoo, I use the information you provide me with for sizing the design please be specific so if you get this wrong or change your mind you will be charged accordingly.

I  normally show you the design on the morning of the appointment, not weeks in advance, as I’m working on your design to get it perfect close to your appointment date.  So please be aware of this,  be sure you have been really clear in telling me your design idea, style idea, placement and sizing, and make sure you like my style of work.  Send me reference images. Please don’t pester me asking for a design in advance of the appointment as I work on designs in order of everyone’s appointment.  If the design is done in advance I will send it out where possible. If you need to see a drawing way in advance I charge an early drawing fee of £50.

Be realistic about your tattoo on the day, I work really hard to go above and beyond to get as much done as possible especially in long sessions, however if you have a big or complicated design it takes time to prepare during the session, and takes time to get tattooed, there is a chance it may not be completed.

When communicating about tattoo designs, appointments, give me at least 2 weeks to respond during busy times, or call the studio for urgent enquiries. Please be aware that I tattoo all day and answering emails and messages isn’t always possible straight away so if you need a response please ring the studio as you will get a much quicker response.

Healing your tattoo & touchups

You are fully responsible for healing your tattoo, when you leave I have tattooed you to my best ability, and cleaned your skin with anti bacterial and anti microbial products, and you leave with a clean safely bandaged tattoo.  You will be given an aftercare sheet specific to your tattoo and advice on how to care for your tattoo - there is also a section on my website to support you with aftercare.

Please budget and plan for appropriate aftercare, sensitive fragrance free soaps, clean bedding, clean clothing, and fresh paper towels.

The studio sells  aftercare from £10 to help you get set up with your aftercare, or I can suggest other suitable aftercare to purchase.

Please remember to avoid sweaty and warm situations including very warm bedding whilst your tattoo heals.

Plan to read aftercare advice and avoid  exercise, sweat, human hair, pet hair, contaminants, tight clothing, baths, steam, dirty situations, banging or scratching your tattoo, etc

Generally touch ups due to poor after care are charged at least a minimum set up fee of £80 so please take care of your tattoo. Large touch ups will be charged at an hourly rate.

I can tell when you haven’t taken care of your tattoo or exercised, sweated, had clothes rubbing on the area whilst it heals and will charge hourly for any revision work.

When you pay your deposit or buy a tattoo voucher you agree to all of these terms and conditions in full.
