Safe Space and Access

Everyone is actively welcome to be tattooed in our safe tattooing space, no judgement of gender, body type, scarring, disability, chronic illness, sexual orientation, race, colour of skin or special need

I’m disabled and chronically ill myself so I will do my best to help you have a good tattoo experience, however because of this sometimes I cannot accommodate all needs as my own health is a priority. For example if you twitch or move a lot during a tattoo, I cannot hold you still, therefore I can’t tattoo you.

Please bare in mind that when I bring up details of your specific needs, skin type or medical conditions it’s without prejudice and to ensure you have the best treatment for you personally, to ensure that the tattooing process will be suitable, protect your health and to make sure the end result meets your expectations.

Please notify me of any allergies, medications, medical conditions, chronic conditions, disabilities, or if you have a specific need that I can accommodate to make your tattoo session comfortable and safe for you.

On the day of the tattoo you will be asked to fill in a detailed consent form. Please ensure your bring photographic I.D.

Tattoo products - all products I use for tattoos are vegan friendly- including inks, tattoo butters, cleansing soaps and foams, razors, tattoo guard aftercare. All tattooing items are sterile one use disposables, peripherals are wrapped and cleaned between each client using medical grade sanitisers.

I always have the right to refuse treatment or reschedule an appointment based on medical concerns, please bare in mind this is always to protect your health and well-being.

Disability access

The resident studio I’m at in Rugeley has two levels, and this allows me to set up downstairs to work to support access arrangements. It’s a lovely space in our downstairs gallery so please feel reassured of a luxury environment for your tattoo.

Please give me enough advance notice to do this as normally I work in an upstairs tattoo space, so just need notice a few days ahead to move my set up.

The downstairs is generally open plan however the entrance doors are standard width.

The visitor toilets are also downstairs so this provides you with all access on the one level.

I will do my absolute best to provide and support any access requests- please just let me know in advance so I can put things in place as it’s a new studio for me.

Please be aware that I wouldn’t be able to help with chair to tattoo chair transfer due to my own disability- you would need a carer to help with any transfers. But where suitable I can tattoo some areas in your own wheelchair as long as the breaks are working well and the chair has limited give/movement.

Please get in touch if you want to see if I can accommodate you, we can always arrange a visit/consultation to the studio or I can get specific measurements for you.
